Etched Glass

Have you ever tried it? Whelp (to insert a line from Dumb and Dumber), here I go.

If I don't come out in the next fews days, will someone send for me?

Christmas is just around the corner and my family is celebrating Christmas this weekend. Gulp. As we say in the Soderholm clan, it's time to push through. I haven't been successful yet, but I'm hoping that it will turn out favorably. I haven't even gotten my wrapping paper yet. What is wrong with me?!?! On a side note Peppar Kakor has been made, so we're not destitute yet.

This is NOT one of my creations, but maybe one day it will look like this? I don't know....

Christmas

Here's what I love about Christmas:

1. Tree! It looks so fab with white twinkle lights

2. Making presents. I'm making some fun things using magazines and glue. Stay tuned
3. Music. Um hello, it makes me want to sing, alhtough I'm not sure how good my voice is
4. Two words: RED CUPS! OMG, I think I need to start a collection of red cups and get one each year. Something about the starbucks cheer is so exciting. Their theme this year is Wishing. One little ornament says, "I wish everyone could see how much they have in common." Isn't that cool? Mom, if you're reading this, you can make it a tradition:)
5. Did I mention a Christmas tree?
6. Wrapping presents with "themes." Each year I choose a scheme on how to wrap. This year's theme...for me to know and for YOU to find out.

Cheers!

I Caved!

Growing up, our family didn't have much to do with highly interactive pets. We had a couple rabbits (who stayed in a cage) a cat who could fend for himself, various gold fish, and a 6 month attempt at having a dog. There was never time to take care of pets...I mean, there was playing in the creek, gymnastics in the front yard, and friends to play with. A needy animal didn't necessarily fit our mold!

Anyhoo...I have caved. I got probably the most needy type of animal. A pocket sized dog who loves attention. Haha! I found him at Max Fund (www.maxfund.org) which is a no-kill animal shelter in Denver. I NEVER considered myself a "dog person" before. I have no idea how to take care of one! But, I found him in a mobile kennel one Saturday and smitten will not even begin to explain how that felt. Yay!

Why did I randomly get a dog? Mmmm...good question. But, it's the perfect time. Sometimes I feel that everyone around is pairing up or settling down. So instead of having fits of rage or jealously (haha) I found something to shower my love on. So far it's been great. I'm in the process of training him to "sit" and "stay" and he is doing great.

Misto (named after my fave bev. at Starbucks) is here to stay!
